The Lac Cardinal region offers a multitude of recreational opportunities. Nestled in the beauty of the Peace region, Lac Cardinal Country boasts the Queen Elizabeth Provincial Park. Located adjacent to the Lac Cardinal Recreation area, this park has overnight camping, day-use areas, walking trails, boat launch and beach areas. Lac Cardinal Pioneer Museum is also located within the Lac Cardinal recreational area and is famous for its Pioneer Days and Pancake breakfasts.
Figure 8 Provincial Park & Recreation area is a beautiful year-round fishing spot with forested overnight camping, day use area, a variety of water-based activities and a boat launch.
Willow Bay Campground is family-owned and operated and offers a kid's play area, horseshoe pits, water sites and so much more

Activities
Mile Zero Regional Multiplex is located in the Town of Grimshaw. Not only is it the main event area of the community it also houses both the public and Catholic schools. This building offers something for everyone! It is a multipurpose facility that offers a wide variety of physical fitness and wellness opportunities such as: Walking, weight training, spin classes, hockey, figure skating, pickleball and so much more.
Downhill Skiing is available nearby with ski hills in Worsley, Smokey and Peace River.
Indoor Swimming Pools are located in nearby Manning, Fairview and Peace River. Grimshaw has an amazing outdoor pool that opens May- August every year and is home to the Grimshaw Gator Swim club. This outdoor pool is enjoyed by families from all over the Lac Cardinal Country.
Golf Mighty Peace Golf Club also has camping available along with a licensed restaurant in the club house, pro shop, putting and chipping practice area and a driving range.
Canoeing/Kayaking can be done on both Figure 8 lake and Lac Cardinal lake. For an overnight excursion or to for a bit more of a faster pace you can Canoe and Kayak the Peace River.
